Claire Fontana
Biography
Claire Fontana was born in Strasbourg (France) in 1972. She studied both sculpture and painting at the Arts Décoratifs school in Paris. From 1995 to 1998 she specialized in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara (Italy).
She now resides in Carrara where she possesses her own foundry, which allows her to create her bronze directly. Additionally to this material, Claire Fontana also works with glass and rock.
She shares her life with her partner who is a marble sculptor.
