L'Oeil du Prince

Created in 2010 by Yann Deshoulières, La Galerie L’Oeil du Prince offers a demanding selection from around thirty confirmed contemporary artists, mainly figurative, focusing on emotion, sincerity and aesthetics.
« L’Oeil du Prince”, in the theater, designates the place which reserves the best view, and which was traditionally that of the prince or the highest spectator. It allows you to take in the whole scene at a glance without distorting the perspective of the decor.
By extension, this term can be used to describe the best position of the spectator in front of a painting, without distortion of perspective.
This is how Yann and Laetitia Deshoulières decide to present meticulously chosen works: with, as a common thread, an attachment to figuration, the L’Oeil du Prince Gallery exhibits paintings, sculptures, photographs and engravings intended for collectors who leave above all speak their heart and their sincerity, without distortion through the prism of fashion or clichés.
First installed in Paris next to Parc Monceau, then seconded by a second establishment on rue de l’Odéon, L’Oeil du Prince moved in April 2018 to Biarritz in order to get closer to the family cradle.
More than thirty artists (painters, sculptors, photographers, engravers) are exposed in this new space, coming from all horizons, but all having in common the quality of a work recognized for its solid technique and its particular sensitivity , both nationally and internationally.
